If this video had been released before I published the final episode of the sexiest music video series, it definitely would have been included in it. Ciara returns with a strong pop hit ‘Love Sex Magic’ featuring Justin Timberlake. Even though the chemistry between them isn’t obvious in the song, the music video emanates with sexuality. Well, when was the last time that you saw two well-established singers licking each other’s ears and chins (what’s worth adding: in good taste)? I can’t recall such a thing, to be honest.
Apart from erotic interaction between Ciara and Justin (actually, he’s quite passive, isn’t he?), there is a horizontal pole dancing (!) and the most stunning lighting effects. I adore each and every frame of this video; it’s an extraordinary eye candy. If this wasn’t enough, you can add Ciara’s amazing moves and genuine sex-appeal to make the picture complete. The music video is directed by Diane Matrel.

The Pussycat Dolls are a purely commercial product, but let’s admit that they are a flawless one. They look great, they dance great. And Nicole’s singing is more than decent. The video is heavily dependent on Dolls’ sex-appeal, especially on Scherzinger’s exotic beauty. Look at the colours: there is only black (universally sexy) and skin-like warm beige. And blurry lights, like if there was so hot and steamy… A quintessence of tasteful ’sexy’ for me.

This video couldn’t be more straightforward. Take a handsome, well-built guy (ok, it is a perfect body… have you seen his abdominal?!), undress him, put in front of a camera, let him sing and you can make a hella sexy video in one shoot. And these close-ups… Oh gosh, haven’t I mentioned before that simplicity often equals perfection?
Okay, it is a fact that there are not that many undressed men in music videos, but if they are… that’s worth waiting for!

Watching this video is like an orgy for senses. Right from the very first second you can feel the heat, like if the slow motion was caused by the thickness of air. Then, you soak in all the incredibly pleasurable visual stimuli: the scantily dressed bodies of young Greek gods, colourful towels, sensual moves… Joined with the pulsating melody and rawness of the song.

Without Madonna’s contribution to music videos, most of the clips that I presented in this series probably wouldn’t exist. She was the one who had the guts to push the boundaries. And when she pushed them, she pushed them really hard. Just like in this video, still banned on many channels. Madonna showed the world that playing with sex can be fun. The problem was that many people took her too seriously and thought she is kinda obsessed and immoral. But I’m sure you can spot the exact moments when Madge winks at viewers…

It’s been a long time since the previous ‘episode’ of sexiest music videos but I still remember about them! For tonight I have chosen four videos presenting really sexy, sweaty and wild parties. Get ready!

That’s how I imagine the perfect party! After hot wild night comes even hotter day and people are still on a dancefloor. Dance routines are amazing, one of my personal favourites. Everything around seems to be so lazy (ok, slow-motion close-ups make it pretty much obvious), the air is thick and half-naked impressive bodies are covered with sweat. And the climax of the video comes when the rain comes and Britney is involved in some kind of a little orgy in the corner of the room. I miss the era of great pop music videos.

Christina Aguilera
Dirrty

When I saw this video for the first time, on the day of its premiere, I was shocked. My teenage heart was about to explode back then. This was an extreme shift of image – from a sweet genie to a wild ho. I like it though, I like it very much. The problem was that people took it too seriously – just like with Madonna’s ‘Erotica’.  Aguilera teamed up with David LaChapelle, the master of glam kitsch, and the effect is astonishing.
I found a funny comment on that video made by Sarah Michelle Gellar pretending to be Aguilera: “When people see this video, they gonna stop thinking of me as some blonde-haired, bubblegum, music-industry ho – and start thinking of me as an actual ho.”

Faster Kill Pussycat

It came to me as a surprise that Brittany Murphy sounds so good. What I like the most about the video is a dynamic editing and disrupted shots that create a fast-paced tempo that matches the song perfectly. There’s also something appealing about Brittany’s classy look combined with highly sensual moves. In this video there’s no sweat and no water, but there is wind instead.
Oh, and I adore lyrics: ‘Those high heels are not your friends.’

Reni Jusis
It’s Not Enough

Here comes my favourite video in this episode – I don’t know if it’s the party itself or the way it’s presented but I’d love to be a part of it!
The video’s visual strength are the colours (warm skin-like colours at the party contrasted with cool greens and blues in ‘the jungle’) and high quality close-ups. What’s the heart of the video are the frequent changes of the rhythm of cuts and motion in the frames. Just look at the shots from the party: (0:18) Reni moves fast forward when everyone is ‘frozen’ and then all of them starts dancing, (1:04) Reni moves slower than the crowd in the background.
Each of two worlds in the video is absolutely captivating and hella sexy. At the party we see half-naked bodies, lots of sweat and water, you can almost feel the heat! In the jungle there is an omnipresent blue fluid that people are crazy about. And even it’s a bit gross sometimes it’s all so sexual (one scene in particular, I bet you can tell which one).
That’s wild!

Aaliyah in 'We need a resolution'

Today’s episode is a tribute to Aaliyah. I have chosen three of her music videos that are feminine, sensual and classy, but they differ in kind of sexuality they emanate. We’ll see Aaliyah in three sexy creations: tomboyish, angelic and sinister.

Hot like fire
What is most important about Aaliyah is that she was so genuine. You can hardly find such artists these days… Let’s have a look at the video of one of my personal Aaliyah’s favourites. That’s a proper street party! Red colour plays a significant role here. It’s everywhere – on clothes, on fire trucks, in the air. Smoothly floating editing, sensual choreography and Aaliyah’s tomboyish yet feminine image – this all spices up the vibe. Perfection.
Notice cameos from other artists, especially from Timbaland and Missy Elliott – together with Aaliyah there were a dream team. (Sorry about the quality but it’s really hard to find a better one on youtube)

We need a resolution
Aaliyah reinvented her image with her third, self-titled album released in 2001. ‘We need a resolution’ was the first single. And here she is in this dark video where modern interiors with high-tech design mix together with jungle theme. Aaliyah appears in four different images: sinister vamp, futuristic girl, snakes friendly jungle goddess and a dancer reminiscing her previous style. The video is simply hypnotizing – I love every single frame!
Notice that Aaliyah shows no signs of fear when snakes, REAL snakes, are all over her!

Rock the boat
Aaliyah’s last video – actually, she hadn’t seen it as she died in a plane crush when she was coming back from the video set… Dancing on the huge catamaran by the beautiful Bahamas (the sky is real, they shot some scenes just after the dawn) is an amazing theme, so idyllic and sensual. However, the underwater scenes are the most memorable – Aaliyah looks truly angelic and knowing what happened a few hours after shooting them… Beautiful video.

Kylie Minogue in 'Can't get you out of my head'

In the third part of ‘Sexiest music videos’ series you’ll see four amazing clips emanating sensual erotic vibe. No more intro. Let’s dig in.

Kylie Minogue Can’t get you out of my head

Yes, it is mainly because of Kylie’s famous white dress with impressive décolletage and this thingy (I don’t know what it’s called) that you could see her legs. But not only. Look at the moves in a first group choreography with Kylie. Look at the costumes the dancers are wearing. Look at the futuristic, urban surrounding. And the last sequence with slow motion and sudden freezes in dancing? It’s a really smooth video.

Amerie Touch

In this video the use of colours is really important. Steaming hot red. Electrifying turquoise. Skin-like beige. Jungle theme is well-handled and there are some additional catchy details like this thingy with lots of nails, feather earrings, dresses. Choreography is absolutely stunning, very imaginative and original. And Amerie… She’s sexy as hell – exotic beauty, amazing hair, awesome moves… One of my favourite videos and I adore the song!

Beyoncé Naughty girl

This is Beyoncé I liked a lot. Now she’s ridiculous… To me, ‘Naughty girl’ is her best song. In the music video it is Beyoncé’s sex appeal that makes it so good. The other elements are: red fur, dancing behind the ‘curtains’ and, the most significant one, the bath in a huge glass of champagne. That’s it.

Jennifer Lopez Waiting for tonight

Literally – urban jungle. I like scenes of ladies getting ready for the party, they have a thrilling vibe of waiting for the big thing (as the title goes). Flashlights on the boat, Jennifer covered in glitter, people dancing in the streams of champagne, half naked Jennifer by the waterfall, modern vision of jungle party, general Millennium excitement. It’s all a bunch of clichés, but it’s really appealing.

In the next episode I’m going to present three videos of one artist – feminine, sexy and classy. Any guesses?

Björk in 'Pagan Poetry'

Before I’ll present you today’s episode’s videos, I’d like to briefly explain what is the difference between ‘freaky’ and ‘weird’ in my opinion. Freaky-sexy music videos are – as you’ve probably noticed – vibrant and often funny. Weird-sexy clips show dark and twisted (like Meredith from GA) preferences, usually presented in a dramatic or bizarre way. Now, you know what to expect.

Björk Pagan Poetry

It’s almost porn. Right from the start with a suggestive shot of pearls. The pearl moulds poorly disguise pornographic close-ups of sex scenes (including fellatio) between Björk and her partner. But then the needle appears and the mood is, well, painful. If you can handle intimacy of that video you may also notice Björk’s amazing acting.

Tatu Ya Soshla S Uma

Two schoolgirls kissing in the rain, observed by a hostile crowd, surrounded by fences and gray walls. There was something appealing about video – the drama, the mystery, exotic Russian language, homosexual controversy. Quite a nice trick, but Tatu has overused it and become boring. I decided to post a remixed video not only to refresh the song a bit, but also to explore the darker vibe more.

It is impossible not to mention Madonna’s scandalous ‘Erotica’. It’s mainly made of footage from making of ‘Sex’ book. If you ain’t too prudent you must see the book if you haven’t done it yet – it has lots of absolutely stunning photographs. In the video there are cameos from Isabella Rossellini, Naomi Campbell and Vanilla Ice. There’s not much I’d like to say about the video as it perfectly speaks for itself. Madonna is playing with boundaries, overcoming taboos and as usual she’s one step ahead.

George Michael in 'Freeek!' music video

In today’s episode you’ll see three music videos that have something in common: they show a wide range of freaky sexual preferences. Unlike the videos from the next part of this little series, these are presented in an exaggerated way; they are full of action and quite funny.

Let’s start with one of the most expensive videos ever made – visually (and not only) stunning ‘Freeek!’. What can I say, this clip is a masterpiece with every single frame. Dirty, tongue-in-cheek, sexy. (PS. Have you ever noticed that this song samples Aaliyah’s ‘Try again’?)

Scissor Sisters Filthy/Gorgeous

Colourful pastiche of queer culture, which I don’t like at all. However, Scissor Sisters (and by that I mean Ana Matronic and Jake Shears) are so charismatic that I couldn’t stop jumping and ripping my shirt off to this song (actually, it’s one of my favourites) in the first row at their gig. Okay, I wasn’t literally ripping it, but I spontaneously took it off really quickly – the thing is that Ana Matronic was looking at me at this very moment! Coming to the point, whether you like it or not you’ll find it difficult to resist Scissor Sisters’ queer charm.
