Bat For Lashes: Daniel

Bat For Lashes - DanielI posted a full-size cover of ‘Daniel’ single on a front page, because I haven’t seen such a good artwork in a long time – I’ll come back to that later.

It is a first single from Bat For Lashes upcoming album Two Suns. Natasha Khan seems to go for a slightly different music style. On ‘Daniel’ you can hear synthesizers, subtle electronic samples, and beat that sounds like taken straight from the ’80s. Combined with guitars, strings and her emotional vocals, the song is perfect.

And so is the cover: simple, personal (the look on Natasha’s face!), and it has the same vibe as the song – I can’t really find the words to explain it, but it’s a kind of this happy-sad feeling…

You can watch the music video in high quality HERE. It looks like soft version of Björk’s ‘Where Is The Line?’. It’s brilliant! And Natasha is so cute. Smiling is not her thing, though.

This song sounds great. When I see these dark blister-headed figures, as they finger the girl.. it reminds me to Björk’s clip too. But this music doesn’ thrill me… fine, pleasing 😉 thanks for the recommendation!

I love the video and the song. Amazing! Very nostalgic.
